Until we meet again – Thank you & good-bye Cape Town

It’s a wrap!

Our last class in Cape Town has come and gone and it was amazing to see so many new and old friends walking through the door, sharing two hours of playtime, tons of laughter, chocolates and games – and showing much patience towards their teachers, malfunctioning music equipment and uncoordinated demos.

Goodbyes just don’t get any easier, no matter how much ‘practice’ you get. Especially when you are saying goodbye to people so close to your heart, to a community who you love and where you feel at home, to a class / a group of students / a project / a great passion which you have been building and nurturing for so many years, a space and its people who have allowed you to be you, to grow and learn as a person / a teacher / a family, a place where we have all laughed and cried together many times, one that holds more memories than we can count, friends who have become family…

There aren’t enough words or enough ways to express our gratitude and love for our Cape Town community, our friends, students, co-teachers and Acro playmates!

So in this spirit – THANK YOU for everything these past seven years! We are excited for new beginnings and opportunities in Stuttgart, Germany but we won’t forget and we will miss you all very much!

Keep on playing, keep on flying!

It’s here! We can’t entirely believe it ourselves but Graeme and I will indeed be teaching our last Sunday Acro class in Cape Town THIS SUNDAY!

So, dust off your mats, grab your friends and join us for a special edition, best of, 2 hour long AcRO ExtRAvAganZA!

WHEN: Sunday, 15 September
WHERE: Mossop Hall, corner Roseberry & Cheltenham Road, Mowbray
TIME: 12:00-14:00

As always, all levels (including beginners) are welcome to play. No partner needed. Drop-in R120.

Discover trust, connection and a the exhilarating feeling of flying in this playful AcroYoga FUNdamentals Workshop with Isabel and Graeme Essen at The Yoga Mala in Tokai.

Whether you have never done any Yoga before or would like to explore a different side of the practice, we will have you upside down and laughing with your peers in no time while building strength, flexibility and balance.

AcroYoga is a community and partner practice that combines Acrobatics and Yoga into something new, exciting and out of the box while being accessible to everybody.

After our class prices have not gone up in over 4 years, we will be increasing our class packages slightly as of February 2019.

– OLD PRICES –

Drop-in: R100
5 class card: R450 (valid 2 months)
10 class card: R800 (valid 3 months)

– NEW PRICES FROM FEBRUARY –
Drop-in: R120
5 class card: R550 (valid 2 months)
10 class card: R1000 (valid 3 months)

New students can buy class packages at the old price up until 31 January, valid from date of purchase.

Existing students (with currently running packages) can also buy a package at the old price until 31 January which will only become active once their current one has been used up (even if that date is much later in the year).

Above package deals are valid for our All Level Acro Class, every Sunday, 12:00-13:30, at Mossop Hall, Mowbray.

Come join us in Stellenbosch for the amazing, collaborative movement convention Moving Humans and let’s play, learn, share and move together!

Get ready to MOVE!

Mark your calendar for a weekend of learning new movement skills, expanding your practice, experiencing your potential, and playing with a growing community of friends.

Moving Humans brings you a convention of movement arts. Two full days of workshops sharing a collaboration of skills – from acrobatics and hooping, to poi, slacklining, unicycling, juggling and more. Offering something for curious humans who want to try out something new, and experienced practitioners who want to enhance their practice or learn new tricks and trades.

You can choose your own adventure throughout the weekend with over 20 workshops on offer as well as jam time and a chill zone.

Please note: Min age for attendance is 16 years old.

Our Holiday Acro Schedule 2017/2018 looks as following:

Sunday, 17 December: Last Acro class for 2017, Mossop Hall, Mowbray, 12:00 – 14:00 (extended 2 hour session).

Sunday, 24 December: NO CLASS

Sunday, 31 December: NO CLASS
Sunday, 7 January: NO CLASS

Sunday, 14 January: Weekly Sunday Acro classes starting up again at Mossop Hall, Mowbray, every Sunday, 12:00-13:30. All levels welcome. No experience or partner necessary.
